Girl Uplift seeks to identify and nurture the unique talents of girls and young women, empowering them to express themselves creatively. Our organization is dedicated to helping participants develop new skills and build the confidence needed to become independent decision-makers. Through engaging activities and games, our trained staff support girls in uncovering hidden talents and exploring their full potential.

Our organization will support young mothers and women in strengthening their parenting skills. Through workshops and interactive role-playing between parents and children, we aim to help caregivers better understand their children and identify problematic behaviors in both themselves and their children. By empowering parents to recognize and address unusual behavioral patterns at home, we strive to shift the narrative toward healthier family dynamics. Ensuring that young parents understand our mission and objectives is essential to the success of our programs.

Our organization sponsors ten elementary school girls in Liberia, West Africa, providing them with scholarships that make education possible. Without this support, these girls would be unable to pursue their educational dreams due to poverty and economic injustice. In Liberia, only 45.3% of girls complete lower secondary education, leaving 55.7% without access to education. While girls are allowed to attend school, they often face societal expectations to maintain traditional gender roles. Our program aims to change that narrative by ensuring girls receive both education and the resources needed to succeed.

Skills training will be essential in equipping women and young parents with the tools they need to support themselves and build sustainable futures. Participants will have the opportunity to learn practical skills such as sewing, crocheting, baking, basket weaving, and agriculture. Small microloans will be made available to young parents seeking financial support to further promote economic independence. Additionally, guidance and resources will be provided to individuals and small businesses in these areas to foster long-term self-sufficiency and empowerment.
